Annual Meeting of African Science Academies
The Ethiopian Academy of Sciences-EAS (a member academy of NASAC) in consolation with some of the stakeholders has now reached a decision as to when it plans to hold AMASA-9. The event comprising ASADI Board Meeting, Annual Meeting of African Science Academies, and a conference, titled ‘Biotehnolgy for Africa’s Development’ will be held 10 to 14 November 2013, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Details on progress we make on this side shall be communicated to stakeholders, including sister academies and the ASADI Administration in due course.
The National Organizing Committee(NOC) has been advised by the International Organizing Committee (IOC) to short list the list of experts identified in its First Meeting (18-19 October, 2012) held in Addis Ababa. The NOC is at the moment gathering information on the potential speakers identified in the said meeting. The members of the IOC will be kept informed on any progress the NOC makes on this side. The articulation of the sub-themes is being dealt with, and this also will be communicated to members of the IOC for further articulation, amendment or change, as the case may be.
